SAPST, in conjunction with Parliament of Zimbabwe, is running a student internship programme. The student interns are drawn from the Economics, Law and Political Sciences faculties at the University of Zimbabwe. The main objective of this internship programme is to develop competent students who can fit into a work environment upon graduating. As part of their internship duties, the students provide research and other support services to MPs and portfolio committees.

With mentorship from senior parliament staff in the Committees and Research Departments, the interns assist to produce bill analyses and policy briefs as a way of acquainting them with the legislative process and of providing them with practical experience with public policy while at the same time providing needed human resource support to Parliament.
